Engineering &
Design Plastics Ltd - Laboratory Equipment and
Electrophoresis Division, formerly Cambridge
Electrophoresis Ltd.
At our Cambridge
(UK) manufacturing centre we produce a wide range of
electrophoresis slab gel tanks and their accessories.
Designed in conjunction with local Biomedical research
establishments the electrophoresis gel units are well
proven and very simple to use. The build quality of all
the equipment from the small horizontal EM100 mini
submarine gel electrophoresis tank to the large EV500
vertical sequencing electrophoresis gel tank has been of
prime concern and the safety aspect a major element in
their design. All of our standard Electrophoresis units
are manufactured to comply with stringent European
safety standards and are CE marked. By controlling
production in our own workshops we are able to market
competitively priced products with confidence. Large
batch production allows us to usually despatch standard
electrophoresis products the day following receipt of
order. |

We have introduced
into our range, a selection of radiation protection
products for both beta and gamma emitters such as [32P]
and [125I] radioisotopes respectively. The
beta products are manufactured from 10mm thick cast
acrylic sheet and the gamma from 12mm lead loaded
acrylic having an equivalent lead value of 0.5mm
thickness both effectively blocking emissions produced
using radio labelling techniques. |

In addition to the
standard range of electrophoresis equipment and
radiation protection products shown on the this web
site, we also manufacture electrophoresis gel units,
glass plates, combs and laboratory equipment from a wide
range of plastic materials to clients' own
specifications. Please contact us with your enquiry for
